Multicultural Engineering Program

It is the mission of the Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP) to improve the recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups who are pursuing a degree in engineering. We also promote student development and engage in activities that will develop prospective students throughout the engineering pipeline. Please browse through all of the programs we offer for incoming freshman and current students. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact us!

Programs for Graduate Students

The Multicultural Engineering Program is dedicated to the success of all of all the students that we serve. To facilitate this success we hold monthly Graduate Luncheon Meetings at the Nittany Lion Inn. During these luncheons, there are discussions and presentations on topics relevant to our students. We often combine with graduate students in other STEM majors or The Graduate School to network with others entities around the university. Our graduate students have formed an official Penn State student organization called the Multicultural Engineering Graduate Association (MEGA). If you are already an engineering graduate student please keep an eye out for a notice of our next meeting. If you are not receiving the emails and would like to please contact our office.
